"Terrible experience with a flawed course"
This course was a nightmare, filled with issues and overzealous forum moderators. I thought I'd give it a shot as a refresher after being away from coding for a while. The tasks were broken down into tiny bits, which seemed promising at first. However, while going through the responsive design section, I found a mistake in their answer validation that marked a correct response as incorrect. I wanted to share this on the forum, but automation flagged several posts that seemed to discuss the same issue. They did, so I chimed in on one of those threads to emphasize the problem. Unfortunately, a moderator quickly shut it down, insisting I create a new thread. There was no way to contest their decision or explain that the forum itself had suggested not starting a new post when the issue was already covered. This is a prime example of bureaucratic nonsense and it’s incredibly annoying. It also shows that the FCC lacks the ability to properly test their own offerings and to foster open discussions about user problems. I’d suggest steering clear of this program; mistakes like these can drive a beginner up the wall and might even discourage them from coding altogether. Sure, it’s free for many, but the service is funded and often used as a low-cost way for potential employees to train themselves on their own time, so don’t be fooled into thinking it’s some kind of treasure trove. Back in the day, companies would hire and then train their staff at their own cost, compensating them for the time spent learning skills that would benefit the company’s bottom line. All in all, I’d recommend avoiding free code camp. There are better, more engaging ways to learn with folks who will treat you with respect and won’t silence you without a chance to respond.

"Lackluster Clarifications"
The explanations provided are really lacking. They just don't cut it, you know? It's frustrating trying to figure things out with such vague info.

"Remove the 'Free' from the Name!"
I’m not a total newbie to HTML, but I hadn’t bothered to get certified until now. While searching for Python courses, I came across FCC. The interface seemed a bit clunky, but I was intrigued by some of the stories and decided to give it a shot. To make a long story short: I was trying to zip through the HTML challenge and see what was up. Here’s what I noticed:
1. After finishing the first 10 or 15 tasks without any errors, a pop-up popped up asking for a donation. It was a pretty annoying interruption.
2. After the same number of tasks, that same pop-up showed up again. This happened about 4 times during the initial challenge.
3. My browser crashed about 4 or 5 times.
4. Everything was running a bit slower than I expected. I’ll admit I wanted to speed through it... but there were way too many moments when I was just sitting there waiting for the input form to be ready so I could type in my tags or whatever.
5. By the final steps of the challenge (which I only realized were the last steps after some confusing stuff happened—read below), the donation pop-up came up again. I hit 'ask me later' once more...
6. At what was likely the very last step of the challenge, a new pop-up showed up asking me to tackle another challenge. The only button I could click was 'start coding,' and there was no way to escape that window.
7. I clicked 'Start coding'... and a new account (like number, number, number, letter, letter, letter, something) was created for me. I got thrown into a new challenge on this new account. All my previous work was wiped out. Now, from my IP, I can only access this new account.
P.S.: I thought the exercise instructions were decent enough. But honestly, that didn’t make up for the rest of the experience.

"Fantastic for Newbies"
Fantastic for Newbies!
FCC is an awesome spot to kick things off.
If you're looking to dive into coding, this is where you wanna be!
You’ll definitely need a bunch of other resources to really grasp coding, but it still deserves 5 stars since there’s no single place to master it all.
Thanks a lot, FCC.

Awesome spot for coding lessons. They provide a wealth of free resources to study, and the greatest thing is they don’t ask for any cash for it.
